<P>With awards season in full gear, a number of the music industry's biggest names headed out to Palais des Festivals on the French Riviera in Cannes for the NRJ Awards. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/adele/artist.jhtml">Adele</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/rihanna/artist.jhtml">Rihanna</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lmfao/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> all walked away with trophies. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="id:1672718" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Adele won two awards, taking home International Revelation of the Year and International Song of the Year for "Someone Like You." <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lmfao/artist.jhtml">LMFAO</a> also walked away with two prizes: Music Video of the Year for "Party Rock Anthem" as well as International Group/Duo of the Year. The guys performed the song at the show along with their party track "Sexy and I Know It." Rihanna won International Female Artist and later took to <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/rihanna/status/163404747896926208">Twitter</a> to thank everyone for the recognition. "Thank you NRJ and my #FRENCHNavy and all the fans who voted, for your immense support!" she wrote. "I love you always #InternationalFemaleOftheYearNRJ." Shakira won the NRJ Award of Honor, and Bieber took home the male version of the award. The teen star took the stage in his baby blue printed jacket and black jeans, telling the room, "I'm just really excited to be here. I want to thank all my fans for being so amazing. I want to do another French song. I did one French song but I want to do some more French and hopefully perfect. My grandma's first language is French." He later <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber/status/163405397548470272" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "I never thought i would ever get out of stratford and now im celebrating in france. never gets old. ALWAYS grateful! #Ilovemyfans" Other winners included Francophone (French) Revelation of the Year for Keen V and Francophone Male Artist of the Year for M. Pokora. Mika won the International Male Artist of the Year while Shy'm took it home for Francophone Female Artist of the Year. Francophone Song of the Year went to "A Nos Actes Manqués" performed by M Pokora. Lady Gaga Gushes About Beyonce's Future Motherhood Skills
'My next baby will be my new record,' singer says of her own motherhood plans.

<P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> are besties, and when the Mother Monster <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-WTQROqPRk&feature=player_embedded" target="_blank">sat down with "The Insider,"</a> she gushed about her pal's skills as a soon-to-be mommy. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:722067" width="240" height="211"></div><p> "Of course she is [going to be a good mom]. That's a tremendous understatement," the singer said. "She's the nicest female I've met in the industry. She's wonderful!" The two have quite the history together. Gaga and Beyoncé have appeared on two tracks (and in two videos) together for "Telephone" and "Video Phone." And while Beyoncé is nearing motherhood, Gaga admits she wants to wait a bit longer before giving birth to anything — but new music, that is. "Someday. Long, long day from now!" she said. "My next baby will be my new record." When MTV News caught up with Gaga last month, she opened up about her plans to release the <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">follow-up to <i>Born This Way.</i></a> "I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she told MTV News. But much like Beyoncé and her baby, a due date for the Mother Monster's next album is still to be determined. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done." Meanwhile, one <a href="/news/articles/1676772/beyonce-baby.jhtml">psychic who spoke to MTV News</a> helped us try to nail down just when we should expect Jayoncé's baby. "I feel that Beyoncé's 2012 is going to be very, very exciting," Jesse Bravo told MTV News. <P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> and the cast of "Glee" are some of the A-list folks up for awards at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. On Thursday (January 19), <a href="http://www.glaad.org/mediaawards" target="_blank">GLAAD announced their nominees</a> for the annual awards, which "recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives." </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:683386.id:1669247" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Previous GLAAD Award winner Lady Gaga is up for Outstanding Music Artist along with "The Voice" contestant Beverly McClellan, Girl in a Coma, Hunx and His Punx, and MEN. "Pretty Little Liars," which features a lesbian character, will face off against "Degrassi," "Grey's Anatomy," "Shameless" and "Torchwood: Miracle Day" for Outstanding Drama Series. On the comedy side of the TV spectrum, Golden Globe winner "Modern Family" will duke it out against "Glee," "Happy Endings," "The Big C" and "Exes and Ohs." Another "Glee"-related program, "The Glee Project," is up for Outstanding Reality Program along with "Dancing With the Stars," "Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys," "The Real L Word" and "The Voice" (which returns on February 5). "J. Edgar" has been recognized in the Outstanding Film - Wide Release category alongside "Albert Nobbs" and "Beginners." HBO's "Cinema Verite" is the only film up for Outstanding TV Movie or Mini-Series. "As media continue to tell new stories about LGBT people and families, a majority of Americans now support full equality of LGBT Americans," Mike Thompson, GLAAD's acting president, said in a statement about this year's nominees. "This year's nominees enlighten and entertain, while spotlighting the diversity of our community. Audiences expect to see their own worlds reflected in media, and today more than ever, those include the lives of LGBT people. Viewers know that LGBT characters and stories are simply natural extensions of, and glimpses into, their own experiences from across America." Three ceremonies will be held to hand out awards, in New York on March 24, Los Angeles on April 21 and San Francisco on June 2.</p></p>

<P>Fox's song-and-dance series "Glee" is no stranger to a star-studded cameo or two, with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, John Stamos and Kristin Chenoweth all walking the halls of McKinley High during the past two and a half seasons. And as the show returns from a month-long hiatus, Gleeks aren't the only ones anticipating a few more famous faces. As star Chris Colfer told MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet, there's plenty to look forward to when New Directions warble again January 17. "Well, the Michael Jackson episode ...," Colfer answered when asked about his most-anticipated upcoming episodes. "We have a Spanish episode coming up with Ricky Martin. As to how the King of Pop's prolific songbook will manifest itself in the January 31 tribute episode, Colfer explained, "Well, I sing part of 'Black [or] White.' I'm the 'White' in 'Black [or] White,' and I sing 'Ben,' that famous song he wrote for the rat." The rodent in question is the pet of a young boy named Danny in the 1972 film "Ben." Jackson sang a version of the theme song that appeared in the movie's closing credits and was later included on his 1972 album also named <em>Ben</em>.
