LeAnn Rimes and her fiancé Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, called a truce on Twitter on Sunday.
"As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another," Rimes wrote on her Twitter page. The 28-year old singer had an affair with Glanville’s husband after they met on the set of Northern Lights, and both Rimes and Cibrian filed for divorce from their respective spouses in the fall of 2009.
"We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are only ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another," she continued. Rimes finalized her divorce with former backup dancer Dean Sheremet in June 2010, and announced her engagement to Cibrian in December.
The singer-actress has admitted her affair was "selfish" and told People: "I take responsiblility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt. But I don't regret the outcome."
"Please for our families' sake stop the hate now and let us live our lives," she continued in her Twitter post. "We don't need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen."
Glanville, 38, reiterated the sentiment by reposting Rimes' message on her Twitter page. It's nice that despite having been caught up in a torrid love triangle, these ladies are -- at least publicly -- making an effort to keep the peace!
