CBS, ABC, Fox, NBC Fall TV Lineups Revealed

CBS, ABC, Fox, NBC Fall TV Lineups Revealed

What will you be watching on TV this fall? Now that all four of the big networks -- NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox -- have (finally!) unveiled their fall lineups, we can actually tackle that question. Here's how your couch time might be spent next year...

Monday

CBS offers you a four-sitcom comedy block, anchored by How I Met Your Mother at 8 p.m. ET, the new-and-improved, Ashton Kutcher-ized Two and a Half Men at 9 p.m. ET, and this season's breakout hit Hawaii Five-O at 10 p.m. ET.

ABC will stick with its ratings-winner Dancing With the Stars at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Castle at 10 p.m. ET.

NBC has its karaoke competition, The Sing-Off at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the sexy new '60s-era drama Playboy Club.

And Fox will debut its Steven Spielberg sci-fi drama Terra Nova at 8 p.m., followed by a Lisa-Edelstein-less House at 9 p.m. ET.

Tuesday

On CBS, you'll find that network's near-untouchable ratings hit NCIS (8 p.m. ET), followed by NCIS: LA (9 p.m. ET) and the new cop drama Unforgettable (10 p.m. ET).

Against that lineup, ABC has offered up a couple of guy-centric sitcoms, Tim Allen's eagerly anticipated return to TV, Last Man Standing (8 p.m. ET), and Man Up (8:30 p.m. ET), followed by the DWTS results show. And, after performing moderately well this spring, Dana Delaney's Body of Proof is staying put at 10 p.m.

It's a good night for Fox, as well: There's Glee at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Zooey Deschanel's buzzed-about sitcom The New Girl at 9 p.m.

Wednesday

On CBS, it's season 23 of Survivor, this time taking place in the Phillippines' Caramoan Islands, followed by Criminal Minds and the ever-resilient CSI (moving from its usual Thursday slot).

At ABC, Wednesday is a night for laughs; it's got a sitcom block anchored by The Middle at 8 p.m. ET and Modern Family at 9 p.m. ET, with a couple of new comedies squeezed in.

NBC's got a few new sitcomsincluding the Will Arnett-Christina Applegate comedy Up All Night at 8 p.m. ET), plus Kathy Bates' Harry's Law at 9 p.m. ET.

But all of these shows ought to be very afraid, because one of the most anticipated shows of the year, Fox's The X Factor, will be on from 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. ET.

Thursday

This night's programming should make for an interesting horse race. The X Factor's results show (8 p.m. ET) is going up against CBS's hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory (8 p.m. ET) and ABC's highly-hyped, Minka Kelly-starring Charlie's Angels reboot (8 p.m. ET), as well as the still-hot Grey's Anatomy (9 p.m. ET).

And this is all opposite NBC's strong Thursday night sitcom block, which includes critical darling Parks and Recreation (8:30 p.m. ET) and The (albeit Steve-Carell-less) Office (9 p.m. ET).

Friday

ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (8 p.m. ET) is sticking around, and no doubt it will continue to reign on this night -- though it will have some competition from NBC's indefatigable spy dramedy Chuck (8 p.m.), moving to a new night for its final 13-episode season. Another to watch for is NBC's supernatural drama Grimm, which airs at 9 p.m. ET and imagines a world in which humans coexist with the characters from the Brothers Grimm fairy tales.

Sunday

The big news is that CBS' The Good Wife, which has been both a critical and ratings hit, is moving to this night, at 9 p.m. ET, after The Amazing Race (8 p.m. ET). That means ABC's Desperate Housewives fans will have to choose -- or just use that nifty contraption called a DVR.

But get back to ABC at 10 p.m. ET. That's when Pan Am, a Christina Ricci-starring series about the sexy lives of '60s era flight attendants, takes wing.
