As she awaits the weekend release of "Scream 4," Courteney Cox opened up about her character, the films difficult production and her relationship with estranged husband David Arquette.
The 46-year-old reprises her role as Gale Weathers in the latest horror-flick, but says that the tabloid reporter will be much different this time around, telling Entertainment Weekly, ?Her life is pretty dull and she wants some excitement. She?s been married to Dewey for like 10 years. She?s been writing books. She?s completely tapped out and going through a major dry spell."
The "Cougar Town" star also dished on the difficult production, revealing, "It just seems like it?s just the way it goes when you make these Scream movies: the scripts aren?t ready, they?re difficult, the scripts aren?t ready, it?s ever changing. The only one I remember being real simple was the first one."
While Courteney and David have had their share of marital issues both in real life and in the film, Cox reassured that things are great now. "I love him so much. We are the closest of friends. I would say we?re probably better now than we were during that movie. The movie was just a little bit of a tough time."
