After a month in rehab for what his manager calls "some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with," Aaron Carter is back to work. According to E! Online, the 23-year-old singer and Dancing with the Stars alum has checked out of the Betty Ford Center in Southern California and is back in his native Florida working on a new album.
Carter voluntarily checked into treatment center last month. "He has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs," his manager, Johnny Wright, said at the time. "Which in turn will help him on the music journey he's about to take."
In 2006, the former teen idol appeared on VH1's Celebrity Rehab, where he was treated for substance abuse. Two years later, Nick Carter's little brother fell off the wagon and was arrested for drug possession. Although his reps never specifically mentioned addiction as the reason behind his most recent rehab stint, many have speculated Carter sought treatment to regain his sobriety. As fellow Betty Ford alum Lindsay Lohan can attest, staying clean and avoiding temptation isn't easy.
We wish the buff blonde all the best for a healthy recovery. Think Tom Hardy is available to give the guy some tips to stay sober?
