Scarlett Johansson may be looking for love again, but not in the arms of Sean Penn. Despite rumors that Scarlett is "smitten" with the 50-year-old Milk Oscar winner, Johansson's rep tells E! Online that the 26-year-old actress is just friends with the much older
"Scarlett and Sean are not dating -- they have been friends for years," the voluptuous blonde's rep insists. "Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett's upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam's Global Ambassador."
Despite the 24-year age difference between the two, they certainly have a fair amount in common. In addition to a commitment to philanthropic work, both have some experience with marriages crumbling in the spotlight. Penn divorced Robin Wright, his wife of 14 years, in August 2010, and Scarlett is currently in the midst of a very public split from her husband of two years, Ryan Reynolds.
It's almost too bad Johansson's camp is denying this new romance. If Ryan can maintain some friendly flirting with his Proposal costar Sandra Bullock, why shouldn't Scarlett have some rebound fun with a mature lover too?
