Taylor Swift, Rihanna Dress To Impress At Billboard Awards

Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez also make fashion splash on red carpet, as showgirl style rules at the Las Vegas event on Sunday night.

On Sunday night, some of the biggest names in the music industry hit up the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and decided that sparkles and sequins make for the perfect additions to any red carpet get-up. Well, it is Sin City after all.

Taylor Swift always seems to bring some of that Nashville sparkle to any red carpet. She arrived at the show in a pale-hued, sequined Elie Saab gown. Nicki Minaj showed off her signature sense of style in her baby-blue, body-hugging spandex Mark Fast catsuit.

Selena Gomez turned up the style dial in a sexy, cut-out black Dolce & Gabbana gown that she paired with red strappy sandals with sparkly bow detailing. Like Gomez, Ke$ha opted for some cut-out detailing in her sparkly, slate-gray dress with tulle skirt. Rihanna looked white hot in her men's tailored Max Azria suit, which she kept sexy and feminine by not buttoning her shirt all the way.

Fergie went S&M chic in her little black bandage-type dress by Hervé Léger. Nicole Kidman also wore black. She paired a casual braid hairstyle with a long black gown and Keith Urban. British pop cutie Kyle Minogue looked funky in her little black lacey dress. Inside the show, Britney Spears sat in the audience wearing a skimpy black dress of her own, her hair in loose curls, with little-to-no accessories.

While some stars kept the color scheme low-key, Keri Hilson decided to stand out in her billowy little yellow dress paired with a turquoise-colored belt. Kelly Rowland showed off some of her best assets in a body-hugging, bright pink bandage dress.

The fellas also looked tight on the carpet. Joe Jonas wore all black with white sneakers, Ne-Yo paired his periwinkle suit with a Yankees cap and Justin Bieber wore black tuxedo pants with a gold-lamé tuxedo jacket.

Which stars' styles caught your eye at the Billboard Music Awards? Tell us in the comments.

RED HOT: Raven-Symon Works It Out For ROLLING OUT Magazine

The 25-year-old Georgia peach turned Hollywood starlet is working her new figure everywhere we look.  Raven-Symoné is covering the new issue of Rolling Out magazine.  We posted a behind the scenes flicks a while back, now the finished product is out.

Read on for the pics, plus what she has to sa about her new mature role, how she got this svelte new figure, and her advice for actress chicks trying to make it....

The fabulous pics from Raven's 3-hour-shoot where she's rocking a bold red and black spandex look, metallic gold short shorts, and a fiery red dress.  And both her natural short curls and long straight tresses:

HOTNESS!  More pics over at Rolling Out.  Here's an excerpt from her interview where she dishes on everything:

“The Great State of Georgia” appears to be your first mature role as a television actress. What can viewers expect from the show?
The show focuses on the problems you can go through when auditioning and being rejected and, sometimes, accepted. It’s a good journey that my character, Georgia, goes through with a friend and her aunt, which is played by Loretta Devine. I find it interesting that I’m doing a role that mirrored my younger life when I moved from Georgia to New York. This is more of a sophisticated comedy, but we don’t take away from the fun aspect of it.

What did you learn while working on “That’s So Raven?”
“That’s So Raven” was a blessing beyond belief. It was a set that was very nurturing. The main thing I learned was to pace yourself and have fun. When you get a job in the industry, you have a lot of obligations. Sometimes, you get tired, you get cranky, and, then, you’re labeled a diva. I’m not a diva. I’m tired, and my head hurts. So, I had to pace myself. Work starts at 8 a.m., and it ends at 8 p.m. During the show, some people would say, “You’re young. Keep going,” and I did. But eventually, I had to take a break because I was tired.

What was the most stressful thing about being the star of your own show as a teenager?
I was 15 when I started filming and dealing with adults in an adult way. I also had the burden of 200 people’s paychecks in my hands. So, there was no sickness, lateness, no messing up or laziness. There is a sacrifice you have to make. The friends that are still with me, they know what I deal with. Learning from Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy and Mark Curry, the cast never put it all on me. I learned to be honest and know that there are so many people that make it happen. Being labeled a “boss” at 15 is a lot of stress. That’s why I walked away.

When did you realize that you were not just an actress, but that “Raven-Symoné” had become a brand?
I knew that there was a business of Raven-Symoné when my father told me to “make sure that the public knows your real name and not just your character’s name.” The Disney Channel also helped to package what I wanted to do. But I know that there is more out there. Hopefully, the business aspect will be set up where I can back away and give opportunities to young men and women [to] showcase their talent when others may overlook them.

People are excited about your new figure. How did you achieve it?
During “That’s So Raven,” I dealt with stress that an average 15-year-old might not go through, and my body showed those stresses on the outside. Doctors say that stress kills and that stress manifests itself in different ways. For me, and the way my genes are, I happened to get a little thicker. After “That’s So Raven” ended, the weight of the world was off of my shoulders. I was able to look at what was going on with me, instead of finding comfort in things that might not be the healthiest. By releasing those issues, my stress went away internally as well as externally.

Did exercise play a role?
I’ve been exercising since I was 9 years old. I was on tour with ‘N Sync, and I did my own tour. Anyone who has been on tour knows that it’s excessive training all day. I have had the same exercise routine my entire life.

Are guys intimidated by your success?
I guess guys do find me intimidating because they don’t come up to talk to me. I have to go to them. If I do talk to a guy, they understand who I am. I work from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. After that, I don’t talk about work. It’s all about the person the camera never sees.

What do you find attractive in a man, and what is your ideal first date?
The things I find attractive are ambition, talent, teeth and a car. I don’t like to drive. It doesn’t have to be a Bentley. You can drive a Pinto, and I’ll pay for gas. But I won’t pay your insurance [laughs]. My ideal first date is no weave, no eyebrows, no makeup. I need to be in sweats, and I need him to be in sweats. We can drive around and see different houses. That’s my favorite date ever. I don’t want to go anywhere special. I just want to go for a ride.

Is there a way to balance a relationship with your schedule?
I was raised to be about my business. I love the people who are around, but if I get a [business] call, I have to get up and go. I’m on a path for myself. When I’m done, I’ll start that other side of life. I can’t have distractions. If you’re a distraction, you gotta go.

What advice do you give to young black actresses who are trying to establish a career in Hollywood?
The first thing, when trying to get into Hollywood when you’re not the cookie-cutter type, is to not put a label on yourself. I’m African American, but, when it comes to TV, don’t label yourself. I don’t want to be labeled because, I then put restrictions on myself. When other people label me, that’s different. I go into auditions knowing I’m not going to get the role, but at least that person has seen me and remembers me. But if you label yourself from the beginning, you won’t go out for the role that was written for other cultures. Make your own way. With the technology today, you can become a brand.

What will be Raven-Symoné’s legacy?
I want people to say, “She made me laugh and brightened my day. As a brand, she kept in mind the different flavors in the world.” And I want people to know that I was always honest and told the truth.

And behind the scenes of the shoot:

Steve-O Says He Should Top Justin Bieber For MTV Movie Award

'Jackass' star also competing with Natalie Portman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page, and James Franco for Best Jaw Dropping Moment.
By Kara Warner

One of the many ways the MTV Movie Awards distinguishes itself from all the other awards shows out there is the unique categories for which performances by actors, actresses and assorted moments in film are nominated and awarded.

The Best Jaw Dropping Moment is a perfect example. This year's nominees run the gamut from cringe-worthy and painful moments to larger-than-life concert experiences, amazing special effects and being covered in poo.

The nominees are: Natalie Portman for her hangnail moment in "Black Swan," Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page for the dream-within-a-dream "café scene" in "Inception," James Franco between a rock and a hard place in "127 Hours," Justin Bieber performing in his 3-D concert doc "Never Say Never," and the mighty Steve-O for his Porta-Potty moment in "Jackass 3D."

When MTV News caught up with poo and Porta-Potty expert Steve-O recently, we asked him how he feels about going up against fan favorite Justin Bieber.

"I'm not sure exactly what Justin Bieber's jaw-dropping moment is. From what I gather, it's not actually that spectacular," Steve-O said, pointing to the fact that Bieber's concert performance isn't quite as intense as Portman's or Franco's painful scenes. "But with his following, I'm pretty much showing up at this Movie Awards feeling like I'm a spectator and I'm going to watch him win," he continued. "I'm fine with that."

The "Jackass" star went on to say that the big reason he is a fan of the Biebs is not for his singing career, but his skateboarding skills. "Justin, I'm glad you know how to ride a skateboard and you have passion for the sport," he said to Bieber. "I consider skateboarding a sport, and I like Justin Bieber because he rides," he revealed.

In thinking a bit more about how Bieber's nominated moment stands out from his fellow "jaw-dropping moment" nominees, Steve-O suggested that we think about re-naming Bieber's big scene. "It should be called a 'panty-dropping moment,' " he said with a laugh. "The jailbait panty-dropping moment of all time, [by] Justin Bieber."

And although Steve-O doesn't expect to win, he did give himself a little plug, since in his infamous Porta-Potty bungee scene, his jaw did drop. "I should win, because my jaw was completely dropped the whole time," he said. "I had my mouth wide open and poo flying in there, and if I didn't drop my jaw, then that wouldn't have happened, so I should win."

Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards? Find out June 5, when the 20th annual show airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Tune in at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT that night for the "America's Best Dance Crew" finale and Movie Awards pre-show, loaded with live action from the red carpet, exclusive movie clips and a special edition of "After Hours."

What Will Happen at the Start of the Awards?

Steve-O: I Did Drugs with Lindsay Lohan While She Was in Rehab

Steve-O: I Did Drugs with Lindsay Lohan While She Was in Rehab

In Steve-O's new book, Professional Idiot: A Memoir, the Jackass star reveals that he was partying hard with some very famous names before he hit rock bottom and headed to rehab for his drug and alcohol addiction.

"I've done a lot of drugs with Lindsay (Lohan), but everybody knows that. Lindsay was over at my house one time and she was in my bathroom probably selfishly not sharing drugs," he told PopEater.com, describing some of the stories he tells in the new book. "But while she was in there, I pulled out my camera and I got this crazy footage. And some time passed and later I go in my bathroom and I find that she left her wallet, so I sent her this text and I said Lindsay, you left your wallet in my bathroom. This was when she was in rehab and she told me to bring it to her. So I meet her in the driveway of this Wonderland Rehab that she's in and I make her sign a release form of the footage that I have."

But LiLo wasn't the only one who got down and dirty with the 37-year-old star.

"[Me and] Mike Tyson locked ourselves in the bathroom in this big mansion ... so here I am with Mike Tyson locked in this bathroom in this big mansion just doing piles of cocaine and I looked at him and said, 'You know Mike, I'm not a racist guy, but I would like to say I consider myself a [n-word]," Steve-O recalled. "And we had a big discussion over this pile of cocaine. My point was that if we could take the color out of this word then we would really diffuse it as a weapon. Mike Tyson said the definition of that word is the people who use it and I thought that was very insightful."

But even though the star was surrounded by well-known people during his drug haze, Steve-O says those days were his loneliest.

"For me it stopped being a gathering," he said. "I was sitting alone and watching people walk around my apartment who were never actually there. It all turns on you man. It got really dark and the reason why I needed to make a change is that I truthfully turned into this nasty sh*thead. Just a douche bag."

Then, in March 2008, Steve's Jackass costars stepped in and attempted to help their friend. "Johnny Knoxville and a bunch of our Jackass crew staged an intervention and they forcibly locked me up in a psychiatric ward," he said.

The stars of the Jackass franchise are currently mourning the death of pal and colleague Ryan Dunn, who died in a car crash on June 20. But days before Dunn's death, Steve-O said that if it wasn't for his TV family, he wouldn't be alive right now.

"When I got to the hospital I was so belligerent that they changed my status to two weeks," he said. "So the three days went to two weeks and with that kind of time on my hands in a psych ward I eventually came to the conclusion that I really needed to make a change."

'Green Lantern': The Reviews Are In!

Ryan Reynolds' superhero flick couldn't harness the good will of critics.
By Eric Ditzian

Ryan Reynolds in "Green Lantern"
Photo: Warner Bros.

"Green Lantern" was in out of development since the 1990s when Warner Bros. scooped it up and finally brought the comic book adaptation to the big screen. And the studio seems to have found the right superhero formula. Despite tepid reviews, the Ryan Reynolds-starring flick nabbed $3.3 million during midnight screenings on Thursday and is looking at an opening weekend total of as much as $70 million.

While that's not quite "Iron Man" territory ($98.6 million in 2008), it's impressive nonetheless, especially when you note how strongly critics have hit back against "Green Lantern." The film, it must be said, is unapologetically wacky. Reynolds' Hal Jordan is a cocksure test pilot who becomes a universe-protecting hero, thanks to the gift of a power ring that harnesses willpower. And oh, there are many problems out there in space, with a smoke monster-style villain feeding on fear and destroying planets. On Earth meanwhile, Jordan is not only struggling to nab his favorite gal (Blake Lively) but also fighting off a scientist (Peter Sarsgaard) infected with the villain's fear-nourishing DNA.

Unsurprisingly, reviewers haven't embraced all this comic-book goofiness. They've dinged the film for having an uneven tone as it bounces from Earth-bound rom-com to space-based action flick. Yet others have admired the film's creative visuals and strong performances. Before you head to the multiplex this weekend, take a deep dive into the "Green Lantern" reviews.

The Story
"So there are these aliens, you see, who have divided the universe into 3,000 or so sectors and have chosen one being from each planet — someone absolutely fearless — to wear a green ring that brings superpowers and helps the group maintain peace and order. On Earth, that person is Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), a hot-shot fighter-jet pilot who is given his ring by a dying alien who crash-lands on our planet. The ring comes with a lantern that is used to charge it when its batteries run low. The lantern kind of resembles a funky bong, and if you were to make use of one before seeing Green Lantern, the film would be a lot more fun." — Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald

The Performances
"[The movie] finds space for Ryan Reynolds to be funny and charming, Peter Sarsgaard to be completely insane, Mark Strong to be iconic and for Blake Lively to be beautiful and, at times, interesting. ... At the very center of this picture, more so than the weird assortment of aliens or skin-tight CG suits, is Ryan Reynolds' ambitious performance. He is debonair but also vulnerable. And knows how to milk a joke. He sells the CG suit and even that absurd domino mask. He's great in the action scenes, ring-slinging clever green constructs that never fail to impress." — Jordan Hoffman, UGO.com

The Visuals
" 'Green Lantern' looks like a big cartoon, but it's a really cool cartoon. What can you do when all the environments and most of the main characters are CGI? It's bright, sharp and detailed (well, it won't be bright if you see the 3D version). ... The willpower constructs are intricate and clever. That's really the victory of creative screenwriting, to say 'instead of just green energy blasts, what temporary devices could we use to have this guy beat that guy?' Even constructs as simple as swords are meaningful as an homage to the classical duel." — Fred Topel, Screen Junkies

Earth vs. the Universe
" 'Green Lantern' 's biggest problem, never completely overcome, is that there is a serious tonal shift between the devil-may-care Hal Jordan of the opening sections and the dead serious savior of the universe of the finale. The film tries to bridge that gap with unnecessary characters and extraneous plotting, including tedious sections involving other Lanterns, who tend to look like refugees from 'Star Wars' ' Mos Eisley Cantina, but it is to no avail." — Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times

The Final Word
" 'Green Lantern' is the third comic book movie to come out in what already feels like a long summer movie season, and the third to credit no fewer than four screenwriters ('X-Men: First Class' actually had five). It also suffers the worst from a lot of good intentions and cross-purposes in getting yet another superhero franchise off the ground, chasing character arcs and mythology like a dog after a car, with about as much likelihood of success. With wild space alien characters and a ring that harnesses the power of will, Green Lantern demands more faith from its audience than the 60s-grooving 'X-Men' or the comparatively straightforward 'Thor.' Remarkably it does get you to believe in a interstellar corps of peace-keepers, but gets hopelessly tangled in something far more mundane — that common superhero movie ambition to do too much at once." — Katey Rich, Cinema Blend

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows 2 Trailer

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows 2 Trailer

Death-Eaters and dragons and goblins -- oh my! By the looks of the new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final film in the franchise will be jam-packed with action, excitement and nostalgia.

After nearly 10 years, the story of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is coming to an end. The trailer does a quick walkthrough of Harry's life, from when his parents were still alive to the climactic battle at Hogwarts. And, as always, Potter's best friends Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) are there to help him fight to the death.

Those who have read the book should know how it ends, but the trailer still promises to leave audiences on the edge of their seats in anticipation.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hits theaters on July 15 in both 3D and 2D. But don't worry, Potter fans. J.K. Rowling is making a big announcement next Thursday via her cryptic new website Pottermore. Could it be that another Harry Potter book is on the way?

Britney Spears Will Be 'Extra Nervous' For Femme Fatale Tour Kickoff

Singer also divulges what she takes on tour with her to relax.
By Jocelyn Vena

After giving fans a taste of the Femme Fatale stage setup, Britney Spears is opening up some more about her tour, just days away from its big launch. In an interview airing Wednesday night (June 8), Spears says that she's working hard to make sure that everything goes just right for the tour, which kicks off on June 16 with Nicki Minaj."I'm really excited," she told "Entertainment Tonight." "I'm probably going to be extra nervous the day before. We've been working hard for, like, two months now, and everything's coming together really good."

Spears has been working out and trying to get herself into tip-top shape so that she can get through the dance-heavy set. "It can be kind of [grueling], especially when you're onstage and you're on your eighth number," she explained. "You get really winded and you're like, 'How can I do the rest of the show?' But I've been training for a while and I actually — before I come to rehearsals — I've been working out and stuff like that so I won't have that predicament. I run a lot." Online footage shows the singer practicing dance numbers for "Up n' Down," "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" and "How I Roll," which includes props and high-energy backup dancers.

So, what does Britney need to stay grounded and relaxed on tour? "My pillow from home," she said, giggling. "I have to have my pillow and I love watching old episodes of 'Sex and the City.' As long as I have all the seasons with me, I can go to and watch them and be entertained on the bus. That's a must-have."

In addition to the tour, Spears is on the brink of releasing her latest video off the album, for the track "I Wanna Go." She hooked up with director Chris Marrs Piliero for the clip. On the cover for the single, the former Mouseketeer appears smiling, her hair down with some funky multicolored highlights in it, wearing a barely there mini-shirt emblazoned with a skull with Mickey Mouse ears.

Anthony Weiner Guest Starring on Entourage

Anthony Weiner Guest Starring on Entourage

These days, no national newscast is complete without a segment on Anthony Weiner. But with the embattled congressman's resignation from his post on Thursday, it's about to get more difficult for news outlets to keep this salacious story alive. Maybe that's why Friday's Weiner headline is more like a rumor -- one that's already being denied.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Doug Ellin, producer of the HBO series Entourage (Sundays starting July 24 at 10 p.m. ET) offered Weiner a cameo on the show's upcoming -- and final -- season. When asked what Weiner said in reply, Ellin said, "Nothing." (Earlier this year, Charlie Sheen also ignored Ellin's request for a cameo.)

But the idea itself might be much ado about nothing. CNN reports that Ellin says that no such cameo offer was made. The cable network did, however, confirm Larry Flynt's offer to hire Weiner as a political contributor to his porn magazine, Hustler. (This tawdry tidbit should keep news producers happy for a day or so.)

It's easy to picture ways to incorporate Weiner into the show. After all, Eric (Kevin Connolly), Drama (Kevin Dillon), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Vince (Adrian Grenier) and the rest would no doubt look up to this high-powered lothario, or at the very least defend him.

But this isn't the sort of image rehabilitation that Weiner needs right now. For the sake of his pregnant wife Huma Abedin, he shouldn't even consider such an offer. According to The New York Times, Abedin supported his decision to resign because she was "convinced that the embarrassing disclosures would not stop until he left office." Making light of the scandal on a TV show would only prolong the situation.

Britney Spears' Conservatorship Remaining

Britney Spears' Conservatorship Remaining

Though she's come a long way, Britney Spears -- who kicked off her Femme Fatale tour in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday -- is still under her father's conservatorship and that won't likely change until at least the end of this year, RadarOnline reports. "The conservatorship won't be ending this year because everything is going well," an insider tells the website.

In 2008, the singer's very public mental health breakdown famously  resulted in her business affairs being placed under the legal control of her father, Jamie. The same inside source tells RadarOnline that "Britney is very comfortable with having the conservatorship in place. Is it ideal? No, but she now knows how fragile her mental health is, and that her dad Jamie, truly only wants what is best for his little girl."

The U.S. leg of Spears' tour is set to last through August, followed by a planned European tour and perhaps a tour of Japan. All of this would have to be signed off on by the judge in charge of Spears' conservatorship.

Spears' new album, Femme Fatale, has put her back at the top of the charts, and recent performances at the Billboard Music Awards and Good Morning America have done wonders to rehabilitate her flagging reputation. With a seemingly stable relationship with longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick and her focus on her mental health, Spears seems to be getting back on the right track. And, the insider tells RadarOnline that the conservatorship is key to keeping her on that path.

"The worst thing that could happen is that it ends, and Britney reverts back to her old ways, that would truly gut Jamie," says the source. "The conservatorship will end when Britney is ready. She is making progress, this is the second tour that she has done in the past three years. These tours wouldn't have happened if Jamie hadn't stepped in and taken control of his daughter's life."

Christina Aguilera On How "The Sound Of Music" Inspired Her To Sing

Christina Aguilera on the cover of W

"I felt caged by my childhood. And unsafe: Bad things happened in my home; there was violence. 'The Sound of Music' looked like a form of release. I watched [Maria] twirl around those mountains, and she was just so free ... I would open my bedroom window to sing out like Maria. In my own way, I'd be in those hills."

Christina Aguilera talks to W Magazine about the rollercoaster ride of the past year (a divorce, a new boyfriend, "Burlesque," "The Voice") and also gives us a peek into what made her want to sing in the first place. Somehow, I can just see little Christina belting out, "The hilllllllllls are aliiiiiive…" [W Magazine]

Beyonce Premieres 'Best Thing I Never Had'

Breakup tune, penned by B and Babyface, serves as second single off singer's new album, 4.
By James Dinh

Beyoncé

With "Me, Myself and I," "Irreplaceable" and even "If I Were a Boy," Beyoncé has proven that she excels at delivering top-notch pop&B, need-you-no-more-type jams. Her new single, "Best Thing I Never Had," which she co-wrote with Babyface and released on Wednesday morning (June 1), is just the latest entry in that category.

Following the eccentric dance sounds of her lead single "Run the World (Girls)," Bey takes things down a notch on this midtempo cut off her new album, 4. Reminiscent of her 2006 hit "Irreplaceable," the song has the pop star taking aim at a former lover, admitting that she no longer desires him after discovering his deceitful ways.

"I wanted you bad/ I'm so through with it/ Cuz honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had/ You turned out to be the best thing I never had/ And I'm gon' always be the best thing you never had/ I bet it sucks to be you right now," she confidently sings on the chorus.

With its radio-friendly appeal and catchy chorus, "Best Thing I Never Had" sounds not unlike a song you'd hear during a Broadway musical. That may be because, as Beyoncé has revealed, she collaborated with the band from "Fela!" for "a couple of days" to gain inspiration from the play's subject, Nigerian musician Fela Kuti.

On the single artwork for "Best Thing I Never Had," a platinum-blond Beyoncé strikes a pose in a small bathroom. Sporting a tight-fitting dress, the pop star holds red lipstick up to a mirror after writing "King B" on it.

In addition to Babyface, it seems that the pop superstar has also collaborated recently with OneRepublic. "Just finished mix on Beyoncé song — last one to make her album, once again she blew me away vocally, this is sumthin different — hope ya like!" the band tweeted on Tuesday.

'Twilight,' Justin Bieber Rule MTV Movie Awards

Sneak peeks from 'Breaking Dawn' and 'Deathly Hallows' make a splash at the big show.

Hollywood may have just found the ultimate killer mega-sequel on Sunday night (June 5) when "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" ran the table at the MTV Movie Awards, taking home five big ones, including Best Movie and Best Female and Male performance wins for stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Not too shabby for a bunch of undead vampires, buff werewolves and the lady who loves them.

In the process, the kids from rainy Forks, Washington, nearly blanked the also multiply-nominated cast of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1," surely giving someone in Hollywood a great idea to stage the ultimate fan-freakout-fantasy-world showdown once the two series wrap up.

In the meantime, fans made do with lots of Pattinson and Stewart on Sunday night, along with generous helpings of Taylor Lautner and more Arnold Schwarzenegger illegitimate-kid jokes than anyone imagined from host Jason Sudeikis.

With a set that looked like a backlot fantasia, with a ring of fake grass, crystal towers, caves, butterflies, LED lights and glittery, hanging jewels, the stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre was a nod to the "Lord of the Rings" and the fantasy world of movies.

And with their hands all over each other, "Friends with Benefits" co-stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake proudly handed out the night's first award, Best Male Performance, to "Twilight" star Pattinson, who beat out love-triangle rival Lautner for the honor. "I really didn't think I was going to win," said the perpetually self-effacing undead star, who got a smile but no congratulatory, well, anything, from co-star Stewart. "This is kind of embarrassing now. Zac Efron was crying and stuff in that clip. ... Thanks for showing all your support to the movies. See you next year!"

Check out photos of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and other "Twilight" stars at this year's big show!

Was there any doubt whether Tom Felton would take home the Best Villain award for his truly terrifying performance of blond baddie Draco Malfoy in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1"? Flashing an uncharacteristic smile, the nice English lad said, "This will look very nice in my downstairs toilet," thanking fans for a decade of support and promising that the final installment will be worth the wait.

Poo Cocktail Supreme, a sawed-off arm, the world literally exploding all around you and the cuticle from hell: All worthy nominees, but it was Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" 3-D concert film that took the Best Jaw Dropping Moment prize. Though it looked like the Biebs wouldn't be on hand to take home the honor, he made a surprise appearance and thanked his director, manager and family. "But most of all I want to thank my fans. I love you," said Bieber, sporting white jeans and a blue blazer over a black T-shirt.

It wasn't all just movie magic, though. Funnyman Jim Carrey promised to bring some high-tech shenanigans to the proceedings, and he didn't disappoint. The "Mr. Popper's Penguins" star showed up in a green-screen suit that featured a number of high-tech images, but mostly just dogs humping. He was on hand to introduce the Foo Fighters, who lit the stage up with a blistering performance of their new single "Walk," with a set that included six strobing movie-set klieg lights.

Alas, Potter's Death Eaters had nothing on Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel's showdown with Pattinson in "Eclipse," which also won for Best Fight. Pattinson bragged about winning the filmed fight, even as Howard apologized for trying to hurt him. "It's fine. I ripped your head off ... and now you're pregnant!" he said awkwardly, as Stewart cradled her face in her hands in embarrassment at his crack about their co-star's bulging baby belly.

You kind of couldn't go wrong with the Best Kiss category, especially if you're on Team Edward. But really? Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman didn't snag the traditionally Sapphic-friendly smooch trophy? Nope, not when RPattz and KStew are in the mix. Taking the stage for the third time, Pattinson sheepishly said he felt bad because he, well, didn't really feel like re-creating his smooch with Stewart from "Eclipse."

"You don't want to kiss me, do you?" he said to Stewart. "Well, I mean, it's been a long time, and ... I think we should finally go for it," she replied nervously, as the camera cut to a totally psyched Selena Gomez. "There's someone else in the audience I think will appreciate it a little more," Pattinson answered, before sprinting out to the crowd and laying a big, wet one on Lautner's mouth, forehead and hand. When he tried to snag the award from Stewart's hands, she grabbed it away and he grunted, "I wanna take you backstage!" in what amounts to PDA for these two.

Luckily for the nominees in the Best Line from a Movie category, there were no quotable muggles or vampires in the mix, so you can be sure 7-year-old "Grown Ups" star Alexys Nycole Sanchez was going to celebrate her win later that night by getting totally "chocolate wasted."

This is so cool!" squeaked the adorable moppet before reprising her money line.

The ladies in the Best Female Performance race were not so lucky, as Stewart beat out the Emmas (Stone and Watson), Jennifer Aniston and "Black Swan" star Portman. The publicity-shy actress, wearing a red leather minidress festooned with safety pins, said, "Oh, man, this is silly. It feels very incredible to be so completely supported by everybody that voted for me, it actually really, truly does. Thank you. We have obviously the greatest fans ever."

The luminous Reese Witherspoon was presented with this year's MTV Generation Award, preceded by her "Water for Elephants" co-star Pattinson, giving a touching, and quite salty, tribute to the actress, who's been his movie mother and lover.

"I'm just so lucky in my career and my life," said Witherspoon, who kindly corrected the punch line to one of Pattinson's most off-color jokes, while praising her chemistry with "Sweet Home Alabama" co-star Patrick Dempsey. "I just want to say to all the girls out there: I know it's cool to be bad, I get it ... but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show ... so for all the girls out there, it's possible to be a good girl."

Michael Jackson Doctor's Trial Delayed

Judge pushes start of Conrad Murray's trial back to May.
By Gil Kaufman

LOS ANGELES — Though Conrad Murray's lawyers had been pressing for a speedy trial, a judge in the involuntary manslaughter case against Michael Jackson's doctor ruled on Wednesday to delay opening statements in the proceedings until May.

The Associated Press reported that Murray's attorneys consented to the postponement after they discussed the matter with prosecutors and both agreed they could be ready for trial by May 9.

According to a transcript from the closed-door session, though opening statements will not begin for several months, Murray told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor that he did not want to forfeit his right to a quick trial, but agreed to the delay if screening of prospective jurors begins as scheduled on March 24.

"It is only acceptable to me if this is not strung along over a long period of time," Murray told the justice. "I don't want to lose my constitutional right to speedy trial." Murray — who has pleaded not guilty to the charges — reportedly has been in favor of having the proceedings begin as soon as possible because he is facing financial troubles, but he said he understands that the delay is necessary to allow both sides to prepare for the trial.

Pastor consented because he said he didn't want to lose a jury pool, and believed a month-long delay might let potential jurors shuffle their schedules for the case, which could take up to two months to decide. The judge has reportedly clashed with Murray's defense team in recent weeks, pressing them for answers about why they had not turned over more witness notes and other potential evidence to prosecutors in the run-up to the trial.

Cardiologist Murray was hired to be Jackson's personal physician while the King of Pop prepared for his planned 50-date comeback series of shows at London's O2 arena in the summer of 2009. The doctor told police that he provided the then-50-year-old Jackson with sedatives and the surgical anesthetic propofol in order to combat the singer's chronic insomnia. He said he did so on the morning of June 25, 2009, when Jackson died of what a coroner deemed acute propofol poisoning.

Murray's lawyers reportedly plan to argue that Jackson was already in weak health before he died, that it's unfair to blame propofol for his passing and that, if the anesthetic was to blame, the pop superstar may have given himself the fatal dose by drinking the drug in a panic.

A status hearing in the case has been set for this Wednesday.

Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Slash Light Up Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show

Foursome is joined by special guests and tons of lights for smash-hit medley.

The Black Eyed Peas promised a party at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday (February 6), and the pop supernovas definitely delivered, with a performance teeming with lights, dancers and surprise appearances from celebrity pals.

Following a Chatter.com commercial that showed animated versions of the Peas showing off their social-media skills, the group kicked things off with their 2009 smash "I Gotta Feeling," descending from the ceiling on illuminated platforms onto a stage surrounded by a cluster of dancers clad in white bodysuits. The foursome led the team of fist-pumping troops in "Tron"-like getups, with Taboo sporting an outfit covered in flashing lights, will.i.am rocking a shiny hairpiece, Apl.de.ap wearing huge bright studs and Fergie vamping it up in bling-laden shoulder pads.

When the speaker-busting bass of "Boom Boom Pow" dropped, the dancers dispersed across the field to create arrow-shaped formations as the glow-in-the-dark lights on their suits illuminated the stadium. Then rumored surprise guest Slash of Guns N' Roses rose from below the stage for a "Sweet Child O' Mine" duet with Fergie. The GNR great rocked a finger-searing solo in a studded version of his signature black top hat as more angular platforms and dancers moved across the gridiron. The platforms were bearing scores of marching-band musicians who blasted their horns and pounded away on their drums as the Peas went into "Pump It" and blue lights splashed across the production.

Quick streams of fog heralded the arrival of the Peas' second surprise guest, Usher, who swooped in on a long chain to bust out his will.i.am-assisted joint "OMG." Rocking a sparkly collar on an otherwise all-white ensemble, the R&B hitmaker cranked out several counts of energetic choreography, enlivening moves from his "OMG" video and at one point jumping over Will and landing in a split.

A spray of pyro ushered in the collective's breakout 2003 hit "Where Is the Love?" as the oddly shaped platforms spelled out the word "Love" in bright-red letters. The team of dancers, which appeared to have multiplied to over 100, formed hearts across the field as will updated the lyrics of the smash with lines like, "Obama, let's get these educated."

Then the group jumped ahead to their most recent single, 2010's "The Time (Dirty Bit)," as several back up hoofers rocking cubed helmets joined the Peas onstage and dancers lined up along the gridiron to simultaneously bust out the Running Man, a move which drew cheers from the crowd.

The platinum-selling Peas wrapped up the performance with a reprise of "I Gotta Feeling," as the quartet triumphantly signed off amid of blitz of fog, firepower and flashing lights.

Ripping the halftime show was clearly a touching moment for will, who tweeted beforehand, "Me and apl started the peas when we were 16 yesterday we were dreamin now were livin it. Wow. I'm not crying out of sadness or nervousness its joy and pride and memories and the journey."

And once the crew left the stage, the frontman was not only proud, but pumped. "That was so freakin sick," he wrote. "Wow...!!!"

What did you think of the Black Eyed Peas' Super Bowl performance? Let us know in the comments!
