Kate Gosselin, whose marriage to husband -- and reality costar -- Jon Gosselin shattered in a spectacularly public way in June 2009, dished to People about where the two stand now. "It's just naturally gotten more peaceful, which is good," says Kate, 36.
Although she believes her parenting skills are "very different" from Jon's, the mother of eight says, "The kids enjoy spending time with him. They wish he would see them more, but as long as they come home happy -- and more or less they do -- I'm okay with that, so that's good."
Kate, who is starring in her solo reality show on TLC, Kate Plus 8, also talked to People about her relationship status. Although she is currently "not dating," she is "open to the option." Kate outlined what she's looking for in a partner by saying: "I want somebody who is older, at least in their 40s. I can't be bothered with these little boys. It would be really great to find somebody in real life who can handle the stress around here and who can love my kids the way I do. I want someone who is strong and smart and driven. I think those are the best qualities."
We hope Kate finds who she is looking for (and we can't help but notice that her dream man sounds pretty different than her 34-year-old ex)!
